ramona - as my mom-mom’s alzheimer’s progressed, she fell into a child-like version of herself. she would sing, giggle, and smile, but was unable to communicate her coinciding thoughts. i watched this transformation as a child myself, and found it most fascinating imagining what she was seeing with her mind’s eye.

this ceramic landscape represents the imagination of an imagination affected by alzheimer’s reverting back to a child-like state of mind.
