afternoon apricot began as a personal project after a solo trip i took to spain. on the beach in barcelona i found many pieces of terra-cotta and glass that had washed up onto shore after years of tumbling in the surf. to me, they were like tiny pieces of the past nestled in the pebbly sand that deserve to be appreciated.

when i got back to brooklyn, i made jewelry from these pieces, posted them for sale on instagram, and sold out immediately! since then, i’ve been continuing to grow afternoon apricot as a small business and have built a website, created branding and packaging designs, and managed the instagram page as an archive and display of my work. it’s definitely become my covid quarantine project i’ve poured lots of love into.
